A sliding pool deck moves away from the water as a rigid assembly. Its main planning requirement is the open position: a neighbouring area must accommodate the cover and its travel path. Check this before comparing finishes or assuming that the cover can fit an existing terrace.
Measure the Full Movement Area
Provide the pool opening, surrounding levels, proposed parking direction and any boundaries, furniture, planting or equipment. Track supports, clearances, floor conditions and drainage should be reviewed together. A clear pool outline alone does not establish a viable sliding arrangement.
